FTD/ASA Re-image useful info


First go to rommon to install the .lfbff file (use tftp)

Then perform the initial setup to do the preparation for .pkg file.

On the link referenced below you can see models which interface is the appropriate.

 

Install the .pkg file (You cant use tftp. I used ftp)

!! Download filezilla server and create the below user.

system install  ftp://user:pass@10.10.10.100/asasfr-sys-5.3.1-152.pkg

Converting lightweigh to standalone AP and vice versa

ISE Direct Upgrade URT

Run Upgrade Readiness Tool (URT) to validate config DB upgrade from 2.7,3.0,3.1 to 3.2. This is a signed bundle for image integrity (ise-urtbundle-3.2.0.542a-1.0.0.SPA.x86_64.tar.gz) In this case i am running ise 3.1 patch 7 and will upgrade to 3.2 As we are running an HA the URT need to run on secondary admin node.
